5 Reasons Why You Need a Weight Loss Coach
If you have been struggling with your attempts to meet your weight reduction goals, you could benefit from working with a weight loss coach. This is a professional who is uniquely trained in the science and psychology of weight loss, and who can be a critical component to your overall weight loss strategy. The fact is that it can be hard to lose those unwanted pounds on your own, and a coach can offer you the knowledge, insight, and motivation that you need to lose your weight once and for all. Here are 5 reasons why you need a weight loss coach:
1. Diet. It seems like every fad diet and diet program out there has special foods you should and shouldn't eat. What's worse, though, is that each diet seems to have different foods on the lists of approved and not approved lists, so it can be confusing to know what is OK to eat. Your coach can devise a meal plan based on your food preferences that helps you lose weight.
2. Exercise. Some fitness programs require you to do exercises that you really don't feel comfortable doing or that just aren't fun for you. Your coach will work with you to develop an exercise routine that includes cardio and strength training components that is fun and exciting for you, and that shows results.
3. On Track. You need a coach simply because you need to be accountable to someone else when you don't get out there and apply yourself. It's easy to sit back and let a bad meal or skipped day of exercise just happen, but it's harder to do if you have a coach to report back to.
4. Give It Your All. Losing weight is a long term commitment, and it may take many months of strict commitment to reach your ideal body weight. Your coach will help you stick with your diet and exercise plans with your full commitment to ensure you take the biggest baby steps you can take each and every day.
5. Guidance. Your coach is trained to know when you need a few kinds and when you really need a push to get you moving. Each day with a weight reduction program is different, and a coach is there to give you whatever motivation or encouragement you need.

5 Easy-To-Follow Tips to Burn That Stubborn Fat And Keep It Off For Life
Sick and tired of trying weight loss programs with no success? Well the problem may lie in the way you view weight loss. Many people trying to lose weight view weight loss as a short term goal. The reality is that weight loss is in fact a lifetime goal. Don't be put off with what I said. Instead of viewing weight loss as a means to an end, view it as a lifestyle. Don't give up hope just yet! This article will reveal to you the foundation to weight loss success for life.
I'm sure that many of you have been on many weight loss programs with no success whatsoever. Below I'll reveal to you the foundation to successful weight loss for life.
1. Write up a weight loss plan
The first step you should undertake to develop a slimmer body is to write-up a weight loss plan. Writing up a weight loss plan will help you stay focused on your weight loss goals thereby eliminating distractions that may appear from time to time. It will also make your weight loss journey a lot smoother and stress free allowing you to enjoy your journey.
Things you should include in your plan include how much weight you would like to lose making sure you're realistic about it (i.e. 2 - 4 pounds of fat loss per week), writing shopping lists listing healthy foods, writing down specific exercises for you workout routine and planning your reward you would love to work towards, this reward maybe a be a pair of tight, well-fitting pants, shirts and maybe a holiday.
2. Eat frequently
Contrary to popular belief towards weight loss you should eat more instead of eating less by eating smaller meals frequently throughout the day (i.e. 4-6 small meals), you'll increase your metabolism thereby increasing your fat burning potential. However for many people preparing 4-6 small meals maybe too demanding on time therefore as an alternative I would suggest a 3 main meal, 3 snack approach.
3. Incorporate resistance training
As part of your weight loss plan you should incorporate resistance training such as body weight exercises and weightlifting into your weight loss routine. Resistance training builds muscle mass allowing you the ability to burn fat faster as a result of the increased caloric demand from your muscle tissue. Simply said the more muscle mass you build the quicker and easier your fat loss.
4. Try HIIT cardio
HIIT stand for Hight Intensity Interval Training and is considered to be far superior to regular cardio the reason being that HIIT cardio increases your EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption) after you workout allowing you to burn fat for a whole 24 hours after your exercise session. HIIT is structured in alternating sets of walking and sprinting, for example 60 seconds of walking followed by 30 seconds of sprinting for one set.
5. Consume complex carbohydrates
While many of you believe that carbohydrates are the main culprits to weight loss, one should learn that not all carbohydrates are created equally, In fact as part of your balanced diet around 45-50% of calories should be from complex carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the body since they're converted directly into glucose which is your body's preferred choice of fuel.
Carbohydrates you should avoid are simple carbohydrates such as white bread and white flour products. These carbohydrates spike your insulin levels leading to fat gain. So try your best to consume the bulk of your carbohydrates as complex carbohydrates.
6. Go to bed early
By going to bed early you'll allow your body plenty of recovery time after your exercise session. Hormones such as IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1), Melatonin and Testosterone are released during deep sleep thereby repairing muscle tissue as well as burning fat if you used HIIT cardio and removal of metabolic wastes.
If you incorporate these 5 tips into your lifestyle today, you'll eventually succeed in losing weight and keep that weight off for life.

How to Set Weight Loss Goals – Shaping the Outcome
How to Set Weight Loss Goals: Shaping the Outcome. First, Figure Out Your Motivation to Set Weight Loss Goals. Set Weight Loss Goals that Fit into Small Jars and Take Short Moments to Reach. Success in Weight Loss Goals: Keeping the Written Record. Weight loss is going to take time, almost the same time it took to put it on. If you think in that way, then when you are about to set for yourself weight loss goals, with these tips in mind, you will be better able to prepare for the journey ahead.
You can shed pounds without following complicated plans, without eating frozen or liquid meals, without craving your favorite foods, or shelling out hard-earned money. If you want to keep off extra pounds for good, then traveling like lightning isn’t the best way to get there. (After all, it took time to put on the weight.)
Instead climb aboard a slow, steady train. You’ll feel the bumps. You may have some extra stops on the way. You will still reach your destination and enjoy the foods along the way.
First, Figure Out Your Motivation to Set Weight Loss Goals
Answer the why, and make it a big why. Why do you want to lose or keep off your weight? If your motivation is to wear that size 8 dress or to fit into those good jeans from last year, then you may setting yourself up not to make the long journey, because you won’t have a strong enough motive to keep the weight off in the future.
On the other hand, if you motivation is to be healthy and feel good about yourself, you will likely make your new eating and exercise habits part of your new lifestyle. It’s lifestyle you are ultimately affecting here. By making this a major reason of your ultimate goal, you will have a stronger motive to achieve it and maintain it.
Set Weight Loss Goals that Fit into Small Jars and Take Short Moments to Reach
Now, as you have begun your journey, it’s time to think about goals. Often people reach for goals that are impossible to achieve, and set themselves up for failure. For example, dropping 35 pounds in two months or swearing not to eat a certain food. Then, when they don’t meet those goals, they easily feel defeated and are apt to give up.
Instead, shoot for goals that are realistic and short term. Then, repeat. I learned this from a friend of mine.
I suggested to her: aim to lose 1 or 2 pounds per week. She retorted in a way that I thought she was joking with me, when she said she was going to lose a half a pound per week. A year later she was 32 pounds less, which represents 23% ahead of her set goal. Though it was over a year mind you, nevertheless, she did an unthinkable task, by breaking it into baby steps. And she kept herself motivated by reaching those doable steps each week and by sometimes exceeding them.
Short term weekly goals. Realistic half pound goals. Amazing. She expected success all along, because she wasn’t over extending herself. A couple less sodas this week. An extra walk or two outside next week.
Success in Weight Loss Goals -- Keeping the Written Record
Another key to her success, I believe, is this: She weighed herself on a consistent day, Saturday morning. This was was to keep herself from worrying about the midweek fluctuations and to never record herself right after a meal.
I think this contributed to her ultimate success. Her goals were measured using a consistent standard. This weekly result she would record in her notebook, along with the few things she did that week to accomplish her result.
To Summarize the Steps on How To Set Weight Loss Goals for Success
First, start with a high-ground motivation. Next, make yourself a simple attainable goal and place it within a doable time-frame. Finally, be consistent in your application of it by recording your results it in a notebook every week.
As the last word, to echo the first thoughts. Weight loss is going to take time, almost the same time it took to put it on. If you think in that way, then when you are about to set for yourself weight loss goals, with these tips in mind, you will be better able to prepare for the journey ahead.

So the technique works through altering the calories from high to low calorie consumption, and back on the road to an increased calorie food intake the next day.
The arrangement of high and low calorie intake over a period of weeks, would act on the way to confuse the body.
For that reason, it would nonetheless keep its peak fat burning capability, even through those days you are consuming a lesser amount of calories than the suggested daily consumption.
They are the times when swift fat burning happens, as your body shall be forced toward check out added sources as energy.
The Fat Loss 4 Idiots plan positively has its advantages, in support of everyone trying to shake off extra fat quick.

Beyond Weight Loss: The Unexpected Benefits of hCG
HCG is quickly gaining recognition for its ability to help with weight loss. Although the hormone still has not been approved by the FDA for use as a weight loss product, many physicians are recommending it to their patients and weight loss clinics specializing in HCG weight loss treatments are becoming more common.
In addition to helping people lose weight, however, many people utilizing this weight loss program are discovering that there are additional benefits as well. The Body Sculpting Benefits of HCG TreatmentsMany of the people that are using HCG to help them lose weight are finding that the hormone helps with the reshaping of their body’s as well.
Unlike many weight loss programs that only help with losing weight, HCG appears to help contour the body and decrease the circumference of the body. HCG also helps tone common problem areas, such as reducing the amount of fat deposited in double chins and getting rid of pot bellies. HCG also appears to help rejuvenate structural fat, which helps make the hands, neck, and face look refreshed.Individuals on the HCG diet are also supposed to follow a low calorie diet of only 500 calories per day.
Without the help of HCG, a diet consisting of this few calories can results in a loss of muscle mass. Those on HCG, however, do not experience this side effect. In addition, the hormone appears to actually reduce the appetite, which makes it easier to adhere to the 500 calorie diet. The Health Benefits of the HCG DietObviously, shedding extra pounds will help improve the overall health of a person on the HCG diet.
Researchers also believe that taking HCG helps to normalize the cholesterol levels of those on the diet. In addition, the hormone appears to help normalize the thyroid gland and balance the hormones while rebuilding the adrenaline glands.
The Emotional Benefits of the HCG DietPeople on the HCG diet also routinely report experiencing less irritability and generally feeling in a better mood. This lift in spirits seems to continue throughout the entire treatment period. Patients also report having more restful sleep, which may be partially responsible for the improved mood.
Similarly, patients report feeling more energized while undergoing the therapy. This may be attributed to the improvement in sleep, the loss of excess weight, and the positive impact HCG has on the adrenaline glands.
For many, just the weight loss benefits of HCG would be enough to make this hormone worth taking. With the additional benefits that the hormone appears to have, however, it makes the HCG weight loss program that anyone looking to lose weight should consider.

Is Your Goal Really Weight Loss?
Are you ashamed of your weight? Do you have a goal weight that you want to reach through weight loss? I’d say so, it’s been pushed into our brains many times over and over again that “weight loss” is what we want to accomplish. There are weight loss guides, weight loss supplements, and many other things that push “weight loss”. Many people even set their goals to be at a certain weight. Additionally, the medical community has developed an “ideal weight” chart, which can further add to the confusion about weight loss.
Now, let me ask you a question. Is your goal really weight loss? Unless you are trying to make a weight class for wrestling or some other sport with weight classes, you may think that your goal is weight loss, but it really isn’t. You are trying to lose that flubbery stuff attached to your body called FAT. Correct?
So then, why do we measure our progress by how much we weigh? Why do we step on the bathroom scale and hope that those numbers will be lower than before? You see, our weight is affected by more than just how much fat is on our body. Some other factors include water, muscle, glycogen, and obviously if we have eaten anything earlier or used the bathroom lately.
Our water weight fluctuates constantly. For instance, when we exhale water vapor comes out. When we sweat, we are sweating out water. There are also many more factors that can affect the amount of water in our body. Water is what usually causes those random gains or losses of a pound or two in weight that can make you happy or sad. It is almost physiologically impossible to lose a pound of fat in one day.
One reason the low-carb or no-carb (also called ketogenic) diets are so attractive is because of the large initial loss of weight. However, this weight is not necessarily fat. When carbohydrates are restricted the body has a backup store of them located in the liver and muscles in the form of something called glycogen. The human body can store approximately 400 grams of glycogen. In larger individuals this number can increase. In addition to this, for each gram of glycogen stored in the human body, 3 grams of water are also stored. If you figure it out, this would equate to about 1600 grams (3.5 pounds) of glycogen and water.
When you stop or limit your consumption of carbohydrates, your body starts using its glycogen stores. After a couple of days that 1600 grams (3.5 pounds) of glycogen and water are gone. Also, as an adaptation to the restriction of carbohydrates, your body produces these things called ketones. Ketones also appear to have a diuretic effect, which would mean an even greater loss of water.
In addition to water, if you have been working out lately to speed along your “weight loss” (you mean fat loss, right?) progress you probably have gained some muscle doing so. This gain in muscle can also affect the numbers you see on the scale. Muscle is also more dense than fat.
You may be wondering how you are going to measure your progress now that the scale doesn’t mean as much as it used to. Well, there are several methods to measure your body fat percentage. None of these methods are 100% accurate, but they will be much more useful than the use of a scale.
One of the simplest ways is to use a caliper. You can usually find these at your local sporting goods/fitness shop. If you can’t find them locally, you can order them off the internet. Calipers measure the thickness of a skin fold on your triceps. Then there are directions that come with the caliper that show you how to use the number you get to derive your body fat %.
If you don’t want to go out and buy some calipers, there is a body fat % calculator on my website. The calculator uses the circumference of several parts of your body and then plugs them into a formula developed by the U.S. Navy to derive an approximation of your body fat %.
You can find this calculator here: http://www.weight-loss-resources.com/calculators/bodyfat.html
There are also much more accurate ways to measure your body fat % like buoyancy testing or the use of special lasers.
If you insist on knowing your progress by weight loss and want to use a scale, try to weigh yourself at the same time everyday. Probably the best time would be right when you wake up in the morning and before you do anything.
So, your new goal should be to shoot for fat loss and not weight loss. Don’t necessarily trust the scale all the time as it can be deceiving - your weight is affected by more than just how much fat you have gained or lost. In addition, it is almost physiologically impossible to gain or lose a pound of fat in one day.

Fast Weight Loss Plan - Intermittent Fasting Tops Them All!
I have been searching for a fast weight loss plan that is effective and easy to follow for years. After doing many different programs and getting varied results, I am going to touch on what I have found to be the best that there is.
For a weight loss plan to be effective, it will have to be easy to follow and cause you to lose significant fat, as well as provide lasting results. First of all, lets scratch off any of the fad diets and magic pills that never really work. If it seems too good to be true, it often is. I am more interested in showing you a fast weight loss plan that is not built on hype or results that depend on you buying a bunch of useless supplements.
To lose weight you need to have a calorie deficit
Of all of the different ways to lose weight, the common theme for any of them that work is causing a calorie deficit. In order to achieve weight loss, you need to use more calories on a consistent basis than you are taking in. It is pretty cut and dry and obviously no secret. All diets are geared towards you cutting calories in some way.
The problem with most diets though is that they are too hard to follow and you don't have much of a chance of sticking with them long term. If you need to depend on straight will power and desire to stick with your diet, you may as well quit now.
Regardless of how strong you start out, maintaining that same level of desire is not realistic. The fast weight loss plan that I mention below does not require you to be strict for any prolonged periods, which makes it much easier to follow.
The right diet as well as a proper exercise routine are key to any weight loss plan
Exercise is a key part of any weight loss plan also, and an effective diet along with the proper exercise routine will really kick your fat loss in to high gear. Once you have your diet straightened out, you should do some form of resistance training for maximum fat loss.
Most people think of walking or running on the treadmill when they decide to lose weight. I think that the treadmill may have its place in your plan but you should first get on an effective resistance training program. This will be the topic of another article though. For now, I am going to focus on the diet part of the equation.
Intermittent fasting helped me to lose 31 lbs
In my experience, intermittent fasting is the most effective way to cut your calories and cause weight loss. If you are not familiar with this term or do not know what intermittent fasting is, you will be pleasantly surprised when you discover how easy and effective it is.
Personally, I have been fasting for weight loss for around eight months. I went from 201 lbs on January 1st to 170 lbs in July of this same year from intermittent fasting. I lost 31 lbs in less than seven months and have never looked better. At the time of this article, I am 41 years old and am leaner than I have been since I was in my early twenties.
I think the reason that intermittent fasting is so effective is because it allows you to eat every day and pretty much eat how you normally do in between fasts. Of course the better you eat, the better your results will be, and your overall health will also improve.
But the key to remember is that if you change nothing else about your current diet and just add in fasting, you will still lose weight. This is why intermittent fasting is the best weight loss plan that I know of.
The ins and outs of this type of fasting are too broad to go over in this short article but I invite you to learn more about it and how effective it has been for me at my blog, Fitness Overhaul.

I am a real person that actually achieved the results mentioned above and have documented my daily weight since starting this plan. Diet Tips Weight Loss Plan
There are thousands of diet tips, weight loss products, solutions, guarantees, gimmicks and promotions on the market right now. And they all promise the same thing, success. And they all take your money in exchange for hope that a new you will emerge.
Losing weight is not the stuff of rocket science so why do we need thousands of options in ways to do it? It's because 95% of dieters fail long term at keeping the pounds off. Pretty staggering failure rate, 95%. Care to ask why?
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
--Aristotle
Food is not the problem, and it's not the cure. Your habits and their underlying triggers are what drives you to food and keeps you fat. So unless you change the things you do and how you relate to yourself and the world, you'll keep getting what you've always gotten. Fat and fatter.
Diets don't work long term. Diets target food as the culprit and the cure and ignore what really matters, the unseen universe of the mind where your thoughts and feelings maintain control of your habits.
Mind is the control center from which everything in humanity flows. Your participation here is fundamental to any change in you. There is NO option to ignore the mind part of you because the habits you lived before the diet are not dead. They will return along with your weight.
The untold truth is when the diet ends so does weight loss as you return to familiar response patterns and weight gain. You need to learn new skills that empower you to better manage your lifestyle and make choices that serve you.
What's the answer? In one word, you! And it's been you all along. Dismantle habits, lose weight and feel great doing it by learning new skills that empower you to live your life and make choices that serve you.
The diet and weight loss plan and tips coming on this blog are not the typical diet stuff that's out there now. If you want a how to diet manual, this is not it. Women already know how to diet. Truth is women are champion dieters, gold medal winners having tried every diet out there since Moses. What they don't have and need are the skills to keep it off.
This blog champions that missing information to permanent success and gives it to you. What you do with it and how far you take it is up to you; still you will know the path and where it leads.
The information is not new. Perhaps you've heard some of it or even all of it before but that doesn't diminish its power to change your life because it will. Women, including me, who've used this information are in control of their choices and their lives. Talk about freedom!
Stick with my blog and I promise a toolkit of powerful learning skills to conquer your cookie monster and find your Mojo. What's mojo? It's winning mindset. It's you in control ready to make life happen, establish new boundaries and create new outcomes. Right now, outcomes create you and it's not giving you what you want. That's about to change with this no fluff, no frills and frankly, no thrills information that will change your life.
For women who are ready and committed to make life happen, hold onto your socks, it's blastoff time.

Rosemary invites women who want to lose weight and end the diet trap to read a free chapter of "Diet-Bailout". Why? Because it gives tools, tips and techniques to find the magic formula to live life on your terms.

Weight Loss Plan For Kids
A Weight Loss Plan for Kids Starts with Parents.
There are many reasons why your child is overweight, but one of the most common is that you as a parent are overweight probably because of your lifestyle. You do not apply healthy eating habits or promote exercise in your home.
Another contributory factor which undermines a weight loss plan for kids is the well planned and greedy media onslaught which actively undermines the health of your kids by coercing them into gorging themselves on junk food, sweets, chocolates, sodas and more.
So how do we bring up healthy vibrant well nourished children in the face of these overwhelming odds?
A doctor, dietitian and nutritionist's weight loss plan for kids will advise diet and exercise, no argument there.
They will ban the consumption of fast food, snacks between meals, sodas entirely.
Can you imagine your kids at the mall mixing with their friends while chewing on carrot sticks and drinking water?
OK - Eat Healthier, Exercise More is essentially exactly what everybody should be striving to do...Wow! What a healthy nation?
Firstly, any weight loss plan for kids starts with you the Parent.

Of course if you and/or your spouse are overweight yourselves, both you and your child have a problem. The solution here is that if you care about your child's health and future you will alter your unhealthy lifestyle and convince your child to take the ride to a healthier lifestyle with you.
The internet is packed with ideas, recipes, tips etc. on ways to encourage your kid to lose weight and you should use this resource. Be circumspect, you will find some hair-raising information as well.
Here are a few basic pointers to a weight loss plan for kids for you to expand on.
Talk about the reasons why your child is overweight.
Discuss and convince your child of the long term consequences of being overweight.
Get your kid's input when discussing how to change their eating and exercise habits. Do not talk down to your child.
Use image and self esteem - what is in it for them.
Write it down, keep records.
Make both eating and exercising fun, be creative.
Choose food wisely, when shopping read the labels. There are plenty nutritious, enjoyable foods to include in a weight loss plan for kids.
Con them, disguise certain foods, get creative.
Set goals, small achievable goals to start with and stretching them as the motivation becomes stronger.
Recognize and reward achievements immediately.
Use professional assistance if and when necessary.
Use sport, join a team of peers or even better play with your child, tennis, golf, there are many active sports that parents can enjoy with their children.
Motivate, motivate, motivate, never criticize or be negative.
Eat at the table as a family; you will be surprised at the many positives that will emerge from this small but significant family activity.

Does Cabbage Soup Diet Help You To Loss Weight
If you have been trying to lose weight for a long time, you may have come across the Cabbage Soup Diet. This easy to follow diet is a radical weight loss diet which claims that the more low-calorie cabbage soup you take over a period of 7 days, the more weight you will lose. In fact, this diet claims that you will see drastic weight loss of about 10 pounds within 7 days.
As this diet is designed for short-term weight loss and requires no long-term commitment, it is little wonder that it has become one of the most popular diet around. Another reason for its popularity is that with cabbage, which has negligible calorie, as the main ingredient of this fat burning soup, you need not worry about spending too much money on it or gaining weight.
So Does This Diet Work?
This do-it-yourself diet claims that you can lose up to 10 pounds within a week. While that may be true, nutritional experts have pointed out that the weight loss is mainly due to water loss and not fat. They noted that it is quite impossible to lose that much fat within a week. Another point to note is that the loss of weight from this diet is temporary and hence you will probably gain back your weight soon after that.
Another point to note is that the original Cabbage Soup Diet tastes bland, hence many recipes for this diet has high salt content to make it palatable. For people who are not able to take such high sodium content, they should stay away from this diet. Dieters should should realise that there is practically no protein from this diet. As a result, people have reported feeling weak and light-headed during the course of the diet. One common reported side effect that result from the diet is flatulence. Hence, you should be prepared should you take up this diet. Of course, it is always advisable for you to consult your doctor before following this diet.
The fact is that Cabbage Soup Diet, although is a low-fat and high-fiber diet, is not a nutritionally balanced plan nor can it bring about permanent weight loss. With the emphasis on cabbage as a main ingredient, the diet lacks certain important vitamins and minerals. To follow this diet, you must also be prepared for the monotonous meals.
Personally I believe that this diet can be counter productive. Since the diet would force your body to go into slower metabolism, it would then encourage your body to hold on to your fat reserves. In the end, you may only be delaying your weight loss plan.

General Guidelines for Fast Weight Loss
It is not easy to lose weight quickly. For a fast weight loss you must be extremely motivated and focused on your program. Rapid loss of weight is recommended for those people who have been suffering from obesity for an extended period of time. If they don't consider losing weight then they might develop disorders like high blood sugar, high blood pressure and heart attacks. Many obese people are already suffering from these disorders. Many people in the more developed countries face the problem of obesity due to their lifestyles and should immediately consider losing weight their health.
Many people would like to lose weight quickly but they lack the motivation to do so. Many people also opt for starving themselves in order to lose weight more quickly. But starving oneself is not necessarily the best way to achieve rapid weight loss. This is because people who manage to lose weight after starving themselves often gain the weight back again. The secret to fast weight loss is a proper combination of diet and exercise.
If your goal is to lose weight fast, you should avoid fatty and oily foods. Also eat foods that are low in carbohydrates. This is because carbohydrates more readily convert to fat and hinder your fast weight loss program. But a few carbohydrates are necessary as they provide the energy that the body needs for mental and physical activity. You can also focus on eating more salads and vegetables for fast weight loss. You can choose from the hundreds recipes for salad dressings from your dietician or from other sources like the internet and magazines.
In terms of exercise, you can start with light cardiovascular exercises. You can also take up running, walking, cycling and climbing. These exercises will burn the excess fat in your body and keep you fit and healthy. In fact you will feel a lot more confident once you start achieving your weight loss and people start complimenting you on your new body.
The most important thing that I would like to mention again is to stay motivated. Some people start off very motivated for a fast weight loss program but soon lose interest and are back to their old ways. Remember weight cannot be lost in a day but it can be accelerated by your persistent efforts and commitment. Remember, it can take weeks to months to lose weight.
Also, any program that involves rapidly losing weight should be monitored by a doctor. It is important to consult a physician before starting your program.

Are You Truly Ready To Lose Weight?
I know, I know. What a crazy question!
Considering that we've all tried so many diets until we can give calorie counts in our sleep - where do I get off asking a question like that?
But bear with me please. This may actually get you closer to your weight loss goals than you think!
We've heard it a million times but it's true:
Losing weight permanently is not just a quick fix.
It's not taking a magic pill and waking up the next morning with a body fat count of 10%. It's not reading the latest diet-book-of-the-week and 'poof!' you're a size 6. It's not getting into 'the zone' for half a day and all your weight troubles disappear.
But you know that right? We all know that!
But if we know that why do we jump from diet to diet to diet? From weight loss plan to weight loss plan?
Why do we keep trying the latest way to lose weight? Why do we get discouraged so easily? Why do we give up and think it's just not possible?
Here's the truth: Losing weight is a life change, plain and simple.
Funny how we cut ourselves some slack with other life changes like moving or getting married or having a baby, but not with losing weight! Why not?
Are all those infomercials promising fast, easy weight loss getting to us? Are the constant images of thin models and size 0 actresses making us think it's easy? That's not the truth people - that's called marketing!
The key to success with weight loss is simple: you first have to ask yourself if you're really ready for that kind of life change.
Are you ready to change your eating and exercise habits for good? Are you willing to move permanently towards a healthier way of life?
You also have to realize that letting go of extra weight requires letting go of other things as well. Like the way you might do things, or the way you think about food and eating. It requires you to be open to change, to be ready to see what works and what doesn't.
So before you choose a method of losing weight, you should decide if you're truly READY to lose weight or not.
Key point: It's ok, if you're not!
For one reason or another you might not be ready yet for a change in your lifestyle - that's ok. Accept yourself and wait until you are truly ready.
BUT if you are ready, if you are determined to lose weight WHATEVER it takes, if you're open to the kind of life changes losing weight will require-then look out baby. Here you come!
Because when you decide that - yes - you're truly ready to lose weight, nothing will stop you!

4 Strange Diets to Avoid
Diet and weight loss ideas are all over the internet and other media's. There are some legitimate diet and weight loss programs. There are also some very strange diet and weight loss ideas. It has become clear that when battling the bulge some people will stop at nothing to lose weight. Here are a few of the strangest diet and weight loss ideas on the internet.
A lot of the new fad diets insist that you eat only one thing. The cabbage soup diets swears you can lose 10 pounds in a week if you can stomach eating cabbage soup and nothing else for an entire week. There are many variations of this diet that include everything from grapefruits to chicken soup. Eating only one item does not make for a healthy diet and weight loss program.
A new fad right now is the Jesus diet. There is no biblical justification for this diet. It basically proclaims that the followers of this diet and weight loss program eat only raw foods, not including meat, and fast at least one day per week. Plus you are only allowed two meals per day and each meal cannot go over 1-2 pounds. This diet isn't exactly unhealthy but maybe they figure if you have no energy you can't get to the food anyway. This is defiantly not a diet for anyone who wants to do anything but sleep.
Okay this one is not for the faint of heart. Famous women like opera singer Maria Callas and supermodel Claudia Schiffer are alleged to have tried the tape worm diet. Pills that contain tape worms are ingested. The tape worms live in the intestines and help consume the food you eat. You are always hungry but never gain weight no matter how much you eat. This one is defiantly not healthy and a little on the extreme side. Somehow eating worms for diet and weight loss just doesn't seem healthy.
Here's a diet and weight loss idea for those who really like breathing. The breatharian diet allows you to reach a higher spiritual plane where food is not necessary. No food is allowed ,only air. I guess no one ever told them man cannot live by air alone. Need I say this one is unhealthy and just completely off the wall.
The only healthy diet and weight loss program is watching what you eat and exercising. Following these strange and dangerous fad diets may help you lose weight but what happens when you eventually go off the diet, sometimes you end up gaining more than you lost. The whole idea of diet and weight loss is to be healthier, so why risk your health with fad diets that can often be dangerous.

Facts About Weight Loss Surgery
Weight loss surgery is a treatment for those who are extremely obese and is a very severe treatment. It should be used as a last resort for obesity and should only be used if all other weight loss methods have totally failed.
There are two types of gastrointestinal surgery, which are known as restrictive weight loss surgery and malabsorbtive surgery. These two surgeries have different purposes but have the same risks and the same hoped outcomes.
Restrictive weight loss surgery is used to help restrict the amount of food that can be consumed at a given time. Often this is performed by stapling the stomach. This surgery creates a very small pouch to hold a small amount of food at the top of the stomach.
This causes the person to feel very full after eating very little food. Usually patients can only eat less than a cup of food at a time or they will become sick to their stomach. This surgery makes sure that patients can eat only small amounts of food at a time.
Another type of is malabsorbtive surgery, commonly known as a gastric bypass surgery. This type of surgery is usually more common than the restrictive weight loss surgery. This type of surgery is supposed to prevent nutrients from being absorbed into the body. This surgery accomplishes that by actually bypassing most of the intestine. Not only does this result in a reduced appetite, but it also leads to losing a quite amount of weight.
There are side effects that come with these special surgeries. Side effects can include ulcers of the stomach, gas, diarrhea, nutrition deficiencies, and fainting. Before you have this type of surgery, you must be evaluated by a doctor so it can be decided if you are a candidate for this type of serious surgery.
To qualify, you must bee at least 100 pounds overweight and not have had success with other methods of weight loss. If you have serious health problems due to obesity you may also be a candidate for this type of surgery. If you decide to consider having this, be sure that you take the time to contemplate the risks associated with it.
You will have to also make sure you can finance since many insurance companies will not cover the surgery. Be sure that you find a surgeon who is experienced and who will help you through the entire process.

The Most Important Tool In Weight Loss
If you struggle with weight gain it's a good bet that you have tried at least one of the "fad" diets that crop up on a regular basis. There's the Atkin's Diet, South Beach, the Sonoma Diet, and many more.
The truth is that some of these diets may grant you temporary weight loss which in many cases is just due to changing the foods you were eating or even a chemical reaction. In the usual case, however, the weight returns as soon as you stray from the diet which is why most people are unsuccessful at dieting. If a diet is too restrictive it is bound to fail.
The bottom line is that you gain weight because you consume more calories than your body is able to use and no diet is a substitute for good eating habits. It is simple, you eat TOO MUCH! Forget about what you were told as a child about cleaning your plate, one of the best things you can do to lose weight is to leave some food on the plate.
Those starving kids from India aren't coming here to eat it. It is simple biology; your body requires a certain number of calories in order to function properly. If you truly wish to lose weight, you must burn off more calories than your body requires. And contrary to all the late night infomercials you will lose more weight if you exercise plus you get the added effect of an increased metabolism if you add weight training to it. Why is that important? The more muscle mass you have the higher your resting metabolic rate which means you are burning more fat even when you are doing nothing.
Before you begin a weight loss program, however, it's important that you fill your arsenal with every possible tool available to insure your success. The most important tool in your weight loss program does not include diet or exercise. There is no special equipment you need to purchase. You don't need to join a gym or health club. And, you already have every component you need to put this tool to work for you and begin a successful weight loss program.
What is it? It's your mind. That's right, your mind. You must be focused and dedicated before you even begin. You must write goals down that you wish to accomplish and make them weekly and monthly goals. Without written goals you are doomed to failure. Use your mind and your diet will be a success.

The Dangers of Weight Loss Pills
There are so many weight loss products on the market, some prescriptions and other over the counter drugs that are supposed to help you lose weight. Often many of these products can actually have devastating effects on your health. Some medications can cause side effects such as stroke, heart attack, tachycardia, and in some extreme cases death. These side effects sound scary, but one may wonder how realistic these side effects are.
There are several different forms of diet pills. The two most popular forms of diet pills are appetite suppressants and stimulants. Both of these have been approved to aid in weight loss if the obesity is considered to be more dangerous than the effects of the drugs. If you are less than 30 pounds overweight things are much different then for those that are obese. Prescription medications are very regulated but over the counter medications have risks that have not been documented.
There are many requirements that are required out of pharmaceutical companies, which include tests and labeling, but weight loss supplements do not undergo the same requirements. They do not even have to be reviewed by the FDA if they do not have an ingredient that has not been used for weight loss before. The company that makes the drug is supposed to be responsible for the product, but many times they use unhealthy ingredients and dosages that are much too high.
Since not all over the counter weight loss medications are regulated you need to take precautions before you take them. You need to be sure that you research these medications. Find out the information about the active ingredient in the medication and find out what risks there are to keep in mind.
You should also be sure to take the time to talk new weight loss products with your doctor. Often these products can have a reaction with medications that you are already taking, so you want to be sure that you can take this new medication without any adverse effects. Also be sure that you follow the instructions and do not take more than is recommended even though it may be tempting.
You should never take weight loss medication long term unless it has been prescribed by your physician. Be sure to talk to your pharmacist or doctor to be sure there are no reactions with your current prescriptions or even other over the counter medications you may be taking.
Often the best defense may be not taking weight loss medications at all. There are many risks that have been associated with weight loss pills and it is not worth the risk of losing your health or your life to lose a little weight. If you want to lose weight talk to your doctor and come up with a plan that will help you lose weight in a healthy and safe way.

Weight Loss Hypnosis - Planning and Executing
There are many different reasons why someone may want to lose weight, but it's a pretty safe bet that almost everybody will want to at some point in their lives. Weight loss hypnosis will make you feel and look better, and will increase your self confidence. An excellent place to start for most people is to set a goal to listen to your weight loss hypnosis session regularly. Like in many other aspects of life, the key to achieving your goal lies in proper planning and execution.
Everybody is different. We all have different lifestyles, schedules and abilities, and it's important that this is kept in mind when approaching weight loss hypnosis. Before you actually begin trying to lose the weight, you must decide on a realistic plan that is right for you. The worst thing you can do is set a plan that is difficult to achieve. If, for example, you're an extremely busy working parent, don't create a plan for yourself that entails listening to your weight loss hypnosis 4 times a day, as chances are you're going to fail, which will only end up making you feel worse about yourself.
Every weight loss attempt should ideally compose both dietary changes and an increase in exercise. Weight loss hypnosis can make dieting much easier than you had imagined but you do have to make a conscious effort to change your lifestyle while practicing your hypnosis sessions.
When looking at your diet, do some research and come up with some healthy meal ideas that you don't normally eat. Plan to eat these new meals on a regular basis. You want to break your plan into as many small steps as possible, so that you provide yourself with many small, achievable goals. For example, you may decide to research your new meal on Monday, buy the ingredients on Tuesday, and make it on Wednesday. Not only does this split the work up - if you leave it all to one day it's far more likely you won't have the time to do it - but it creates a constant sense of accomplishment.
When listening to your weight loss hypnosis cd or mp3, think of the changes you have decided on to enhance the power of the affirmations. Doing this also personalizes your practice and focuses your mind more solidly on your goal.
At least half the battle with weight loss hypnosis is one of discipline: as anyone who has been on a diet or exercise regimen will tell you, it's easy to start a diet but hard to stick with it. The worst thing you can do when doing weight loss hypnosis is to set yourself up for failure, as this is a cycle that tends to repeat itself. By creating and executing a well thought out and realistic plan, you give yourself a huge advantage in your ultimate goal of weight loss.
